A Quote From C.S. Lewis

I have written many times before that, if you cannot find somebody you do not think would make a good wife, you should not get married. I still believe this. But I also think it’s important to remember this message from C.S. Lewis:

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside of Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.”
