Very Short Review: A Bird Story, by Freebird Games

“A Bird Story” is a short mini-sequel to “To The Moon”, which absolutely blew me away. It is a wordless one hour game starring the protagonist of the next full game in the TTM series, “Finding Paradise”.

Quick and dirty: For the vast majority it is mind-numbingly boring but with beautiful artwork and music. The final ten minutes, however, are haunting and beautiful and basically perfect.

Recommendation: While it does work well as a standalone, I still only recommend it if you’ve played “To The Moon”. Then it’s well worth the five dollars. Otherwise, just get TTM. If you’re too cheap/poor to pay the five more dollars to get TTM, then wait for a sale. But get it.

Also get it because I’ve communicated with Kan Gao, and he is a great guy that supports an awesome charity and has a fantastic and mutually beneficial relationship with his fans. Support the indies, guys.
